Sound and Music presents Listen To This: De La Warhol, a special evening of experimental music in response to the Warhol is Here exhibition, performed by avant-garde outfit Apartment House and live artist and composer Simon Bookish.
This debut performance features selected works from Songs for Drella, a concept album by John Cale and Lou Reed, originally performed and recorded in 1989. The work was created in dedication to Andy Warhol who died two years previously.
Also forming part of the programme is Amnon Wolman's The Many Faces of Marilyn - Four Requiems, George Brecht's Candle Piece for Radios, This is why People O.D on Pills by Jennifer Walsh and works by other contemporary composers.
